Sick golf cart

Our golf cart became ill this last weekend. If you go uphill the engine smokes. It started when it was sitting on level ground. I started it up and a big puff of smoke came out, so now if I go up a steep hill it fogs the yard and wants to stall out. I don't even know where to look for the problem I guess I may have to look under repair service.

Talking Eighties

The weather man is talking eighties for the end of the week. That's something to get excited about. The cherry blossoms in Macon are spectacular now it amazing to see thousands if pink flowered trees.

Thunder Showers and Moonbeams

I went to bed in the middle of thunder and lightning and awoke to beautiful moonbeams across the water from an almost full moon. God is a great designer!

Things are in bloom all over the place now. The azalieas should be next in about three weeks to a month.

Trash to Treasures

Tomorrow is the Lake Oconee Trash to Treasures sale. This is where the rich folk sell their unwanted stuff. Then it can become my unneeded stuff. At last falls sale I got a $500.00 floor buffer for $60.00 used once. I have used it at work many times in the last six month. I also bought a fountain frog I have not used that yet. Anyhoo, that's what we will be doing tomorrow morning if sun shines and the creek don't rise.

Did not win the lotto

Yesterday I was thinking about winning the lotto. As the title says, I did not win. I know the odds are long and I bet they would have been a little better if I would have bought a ticket.

Power ball

Today is the Power ball drawing. I normally don't buy lotto tickets but I am thinking about it today. I wonder if life is easier if you don't have to work for a living. I like working but I also like just doing things. Things like travel, building, exploring sitting on the porch, etc. etc. It just goes to show if I won a lot of money it would be all about what I like. The other thing is if you won and took the payment option would it still be living from paycheck to paycheck.

Health care & Tiger Woods

It seems my focus has been on these two items the last two days. When activated one of the items will make me feel better and the other is just hard to comprehend. Now which is which.

This first Photo is of a project from about three weeks ago. I purchased this fountain on clearance at an upscale garden center.





The second photo is of this weekends project. What used to be two overgrown azaleas is now a stone wall with a variety of plants. the photo can't quite capture the feel of it but I am happy with it and can't wait for the plants to grow.

Not as sore

My back has loosened up some thanks to drugs and physical activity. So now it should be on to the next malady.
The greenhouse is really looking cool now. I should take a photo tonight. Flats are doing well and the geraniums are really doing well. The nasturtiums are four to six inches high already. Tomatoes are about an inch at this time depending on variety. They should be ready for outdoor planting about mid April.

Sore Back

Today will be a little longer if I don't get my back loosen up. My back got tight on the drive home yesterday. Seems there always something as one ages. At least I don't have to raise any walls today or lay cement block. Now days, painting is as hard as it gets at work.

We were looking through photos with dad this weekend and this one reminded me of the Saturday Night Live skit. For any who can't recognize this is my brother Dale and cousin Greg.

Back from the North

I enjoyed the drive North even if it did rain during parts of both drives. Now its back to work. Half my month is gone and only about a third of the work is gone. I will enjoy daylight savings time when I return home tonight but for the drive in I will miss the daylight.

Tomatoes are up in the greenhouse. Five weeks to outdoor planting.

North for the weekend?

It looks as if I may come north for the weekend. Nell has had a slight relapse this week and may need to go to assisted living for a while. Diane will let me know for sure today.

Yesterday was 74 and sunny. How great that felt. I think rain is in the forecast for today.

Sore & tired

Sunday I decided to dig out a stump. That was about two to three hours of axe work and shoveling. From there it was onto a new exhaust manifold on our boat. That involved another couple of hours standing on my head. I am sore, bruised but glad I got the things done.

Some of the the seeds I planted are up. Nasturtium popped up on Friday and are about an inch tall now.

Turn the corner

If the weatherman is correct it looks like we finally might turn the corner into spring time. A string of sunny warm days are forecast and I am excited. I am tired of having to wear a sweatshirt to stay warm.

Diane is North for a while and I hear there is snow on the ground of there. I also heard last night that Atlanta has received more snow this year than Seattle.

MY day!

Yesterday was typical. I changed a light bulb before clocking in, Then it was a request to turn the heat up. then two request to fix a drawer pulls and an electric razor. Then it was some paper work Then it was analyze a paint problem for a part time worker and go get some product. Then it was paint a room. Then meet with a plumber. also somewhere in the mix it was try to fix the fax copier. no luck there so I had to find the old one and get it hooked up. Back to painting. In the afternoon it was change out an working oven for an identical working oven. Fix a toilet, talk to landscape crew. paint some more and then it was install a custom closet center in a room for a new move in.

March 1

A new month and the work list rolls over. With all the move ins an move outs of late at work, the load is getting harder. I should have 21 days to complete my tasks for the month. Let's see what is not going to get done?
