Darkness & Light

I noticed this morn that it was dark when I was getting ready for work. I guess summer is winding down and once again we will be trading light for darkness. I dislike the short days of winter. I do however love the amber days of fall. I think that is why our home in Milledgeville suits me. The winter there are like fall. The leaves, The smoke from people burning leaves & fireplaces. The sound of a chainsaw off in the distance. The crows making their sounds that echo through the trees and down the waterway. Cool mornings with warmth in the afternoon. The type of warmth that the sun can heal the soul with. Imagine, It's January and your wearing shorts and a sweatshirt. You sitting in a lawn chair just letting the sun revive you. You feel the rays of the sun and you welcome the effect. And then you appreciate that God created the sun.

Today's thought:

Most of the shadows of this life are caused by standing in one's own sunshine.
