Customized

Yesterday I spent some time customizing my enclosed cab EZ GO Mini truck. I installed sideboards. a storage box, a ladder rack and a custom plunger holder. Don't you think its fitting that an EZ GO has a custom plunger holder? This morning I plan to start the day by fixing a commercial plate rack on wheels.

Y'all have fun today!

Struggle

I am struggling with sciatic problems this morning. That makes for long days.

Sunday was a beautiful day here. Mid eighties and mostly sunny. Didn't do any boating, with gas shortages it just wouldn't be right. That's a lie! I am just too cheap.

I pick up five more audio books from the library. That should hold me for two weeks. Dad you should try audio books. It really helps the time pass.

Y'all have a good day!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to the bestest sister in the whole wide world! 58, I sure hope I am as in as good of shape as you when I get that old. Just in case you may need them, I have a lot of spare walker parts in my office. Did you know they actually make tennis balls to go on the feet of a walker. They cost $13.95 I have 1 pair in the inventory. The old nylon glides are the best value. $1.98 a pair. ( I have three pair in stock) Oh! I almost forgot I got one of those extra large remotes for the TV if you need one. Who am I kidding! I will need the walker long before you and probably could use the extra large remote now. Have a great B day.

Love ya,
Ron

Once again!

To my amazement it's Friday again. Carpet cleaning and a bus trip are on the venue for today.
In Ga they have early voting. You can vote for six weeks before the election. That is the reason for the bus trip.

Have a nice weekend!

News

I can't help wonder what the economy would be like with out the news media. Consumer attitude would be different. The world economy would be different. Could we fix the economy by just turning off the TV? Wanna Try?

Have a good day!

Porch sitten

Diane and I both got home a little late last night. It was a beautiful evening! We spent the first half hour just sitting on the porch admiring the beauty of it all. The temps have been just perfect. the sky was blue as blue gets and a soft dry breeze, just enough to sway the leaves. The sun was reflecting off the water with such brilliance that you could almost feel the radiance. The lake was peaceful. I didn't see a boat all evening. I was a great night!

Have a super day!

In the Gutter

One of my responsibilities is to maintain clean gutters at our facilities. Now, I don't like to clean gutters as it is but clean 22 units this month is over the top. Next month I get to do another 22. however they are interior units and for the most part will be clean. At least this cleaning is just a semi annual thing. One resident said yesterday she was there for seven years and this was the first time her gutters have been cleaned.

Have a nice day!

Messed up

I got up exactly one hour early this morning. I guess I was focused on the minutes and not the hour. It's hard to go back to bed when you have just got out of the shower. What next? Getting ready for work on the weekend. The mind truly is the second thing to go.

Found a nice church this week with a contemporary service. It was a great setting. The people were genuinely friendly, but the songs needed a little help. We will give it another visit.

The temperature around here has been great. This is what we are here for. I can't believe we have months of this yet to come.

Have a good week!

Looking forward

Eight more hours and I get two days in paradise. That's not to bad of deal. I am hoping we can get by this weekend with out a phone call from work. Not that I mind the call so much as to the follow up on Monday. I haven't checked the weather for the weekend but I think it will be good.

The stock market shot up yesterday with the news of a bail out. I not sure that is good or bad. That's our money they used. What's better loose it here or pay it there?

Have a special weekend!

Gone for good

Yesterdays blog is in cyberspace. I blogged and it did not appear. Not even as a draft.

Investing! I am glad I have a job. If I were depending on my investments to supply income at this time it could be devastating. I feel for those who are. As I look at the portfolio dwindling I wonder if I will be one of those who work till the day they die. These latest downturns will even effect those who are in fixed retirement plans. Communal living will be a way to survive. The trouble is, finding a group of people you can live with. I also heard you can live in Ecuador fairly cheap.

Have a nice day!

Trip Two

I will be taking a group to lunch today. The big bus will roll. The bad part is I will be eating lunch at the place we are going . That means I miss lunch at work. The managers at work eat in a private dining room. Cloth napkins. piped in music. and great food. It's one of the best perks of the job.

What I am used to for a summer season pretty much starts now. Upper eighties and nice breezes. We have about two month of summer left here and then its on to fall. It's a nice climate when you get through the hot stuff.

Have a sweet day!

remembering

As I look out to the water this morning I see moon beams reflecting like diamonds. It reminds me of yesterday and what a beautiful day It was. 85 Sunny and a wonderful breeze. Top off with a twilight boat ride with a huge moon rising over the horizon.

We moved about 5,000 lbs of rock this weekend. Most on Sunday, I felt blah on Saturday afternoon so I took it easy.

Have a nice week!

At this rate

The way the days fly by anymore I will be retired before ya know it. Weeks seem like days!

We got a lot of rain last night right after I got home from work. One thing for sure we are not in a drought around here. Everything is green and lush.

Y'all have a great weekend!

Time

It seems the weeks are just flying bye. It was just Monday! I hope this love of job thing will keep up. It makes makes this whole work thing pleasant.

We got new resident yesterday. That's always interesting. This one must have money. The Haverty's truck pulled up and delivered all new furniture. And today I will get to install her flat screen tv. Oh ya! This is only supposed to be a temporary placement. At least that's what the families always tell themselves.

Yesterday was show and tell day. You would be amazed at the skills or former skills of some of the residents. Quilts, hand made dulcimers, model homes, artwork.

Have a sweet one!

Trippen

Made my first bus trip yesterday. It was a trip through some of the old neighborhoods of Macon. Nobody died so I will consider it a success. After unloading the bus one lady tried to take a dive but for some reason I sensed it and turned in time to catch her.

Wow it's Wednesday already!

Busy at work

Our facility had a tough weekend! On Friday we had a med incident that I can't comment on. On Saturday our thousand amp main breaker kicked, loosing all power. Sunday we had an AC compressor fail in the kitchen. Not to mention a clog sewer at one of the Villas. And the network server was down on Monday morning. I had a busy morning yesterday. I am glad to say we are back to normal function. At least we were when I left.

Have a good day!

Letters

In the five months that I have been living in Ga, what I have been doing can best be described in letters. I have tested with the EPA and am certified in HVAC I am also certified as a PM. As of Friday I hold a CDL with a P endorsement. And at work I am the POD. If you put all of these letters together it spells HAPPY at least it does in my world. But then again for those of you who read my blog know my spelling is not the best.

Have a good week!

This close

The CDL test is government at it's best. I passed my skills test and the road test. But I failed my side vehicle inspection for not being specific enough on inspection of the leaf spring assemble and for not checking items on the brake system that my vehicle doesn't have. Then I failed the vehicle start up because I didn't test the window washers. and the interior turn signal indicators. Even if I did test the indicators 2 minutes before during the overall light & reflector check. I get to try again today.

TEST!

Today is a two part road test or my CDL. If I pass this I have my License. I am nervous about this. It's cost the company about $250 to make this happen I would hate to have them pay it twice.

Have a nice day!

Dedicated

I did decide to work yesterday. It was a good thing. I would have been called in anyway. A delivery driver tried to take his eleven foot truck under our ten foot six covered entry. Now I have to find someone to fix that. Its a new month now and that means a whole new list of PM at work. This months is considerably larger. It contains a number of biannual things also.

Have a good day!
