Salt

Last fall Diane & I put out a salt block in the back yard. While living here at Meadowbrook Ct. We have seen many deer. Now, for some reason the deer are coming to the salt block, they seemed to avoid it for 9 months and now its popular. I wonder if it has to do with time of year, or change in diet. Whatever the reason is fun to see them so close.

Rested?

As you get older do you ever really get rested. I wake up everyday and still feel tired. I guess that is better than not waking up. I really slept well last night and still feel a little tired this morning. I also feel a slight irregular beat in my heart this morning. And tomorrow we can talk about bowel movements. What a broken record blogger I am.
God Bless and have a good day.

up up away

Good travels to the Pattersons. Have a great trip.

No words can describe how I feel today. There was a vote at church last night. I sided with the small majority, but their was no victory. I am still seeking God's will and the ability understand it.

Stiff

I have a stiff back this morning. It started last week, moving around a bit and settled in lower right. Its not a full put my back out thing it's just sore & stiff. I also go back to the cardiologist today for follow up on the heart catherization. Sorry, next I will be updating on bowel movements. If my body keeps going this way my golden years will be just as stiff as gold.

Loose "N" it

Yesterday I sat down a little after six am to blog. I looked over everybody else's blogs and then jumped to E-bay and looked at the boats . Then I checked the news and then went out on the porch and watched 3 bunnys hopping around the back yard . Then I say goodbye to Diane & hop in the truck and go to work. I am sitting there at work when it hits me, I didn't blog. The old brain just aint what it use to be.

Greg and Shari Smith have been married 22 years today. Congratulation to them,

Summer

Summer is coming in with a rumble this morning. I hope we get the rain we need for the crops grass flowers etc. I often wonder why a view of water is so calming. It has an effect on many. It's also unique that rain has the ability to refresh our bodies as well as most living things. I guess its no mystery why we are baptized with water. I just could be one of God's greatest creations. It also has the power to wipe out whole cities and flood the entire planet. What an awesome God we have.

Ah!

It was great, I slept for 7 hrs last night straight through. That doesn't happen very often anymore.

The phone at work started ringing again. I just might get some more work.

We need more rain than we received yesterday things are still quite dry around here.

Our neighbors from GA called Sunday they said they miss us and wish we were there. We wish we were there also. I asked them about their tax assessment . Theirs went up 125,000.00 this year. That's a pretty stiff jump.

Just another week!

Here we go, It's Monday. I am hoping for a relatively calm week. I hope to sleep more than 5 hours a night. I hope my church life is even keeled. I need to call the Cardiolgiost. And I hope all things I learn this week are good things. Both mentally and physically.

Mixed blessing

It is great news to learn that the vascular side of my heart is functioning properly and is in good condition. Maybe the next move will be to check out the electrical function, trying to figure what is going on. Thanks to all who prayed and expressed concern.

What next

Today I get to go the St. Vincent hospital. I will be having a heart catherization, and if a restriction is found, possibly a stint. It's a little scary but not as scary as not knowing what's going on inside. Who knows, maybe they will fix something and I will feel twenty again. That would fall under miracles I think.

This week

This week is the only week I wish I would have been a teacher. I would look forward to having the summer off. I just can't imagine how it feels in the fall.

My day will be comprised of tearing up old flooring making way for new oak hardwood.

Happy Birthday

Pastor Dave is having a Birthday today. 22,265 days old. He reads the bible just to reminisce.

Yesterday we had a congregational meeting. In all my years of ministry at Community I have never seen one so ugly. That was one of the things I admired about Community. Was the order & conduct of the members at all levels. It seems that's gone now. Today, my faith is strong & my heart is heavy. And life goes on. I remember back about thirty some years. I saw meetings like that at St. Johns. It always seems that it is rooted when someone thinks that their vision of the future is greater than the the one called to keep it. Yesterday I prayed for Gods will. Today I will do the same. and hopefully soon I will be wise enough to see & understand it and work to accomplish it.

Didn't get to far

35 years ago today my graduation party was held at the family home. Today I will be back there working on the house. 35 years and I right back where I started from. Life is good!
I think it is worth noting that I am back repairing the porch, that as a teenager I sat on and open a radio that I order from Spiegels with the first check I got from working. Its funny what your remember. It had AMFM shortwave & weather.

Taxes !!
Got a reassessment notice on our home in GA yesterday. It went up 75 thousand dollars in one year and has over doubled in two years. By the time we move we won't be able to afford to live there. But it seems to be a good investment.

Oops!

Eleven years ago today I fell and broke some ribs. I remember it well, it was a painful experience. Today I will be working off the ground again. I hope the end results will be different.
Yesterday I tried to work around the rain. It turns out I only worked when it rained. Live radar does not always portray the real weather story.

History

Removing the front porch at dads yesterday was like a travel through history. Each layer of material was from a time period going many years back. Including the dead raccoon we found. I wish it would have been a few more years back. It smelled worst than the landfill. Forecasted rain kept us from continuing on the new porch yesterday. I just checked the radar and rain should be here in about and hour or two. Looks as if I will not proceed till tomorrow.

Wonder what the day will bring. I read that Hell MI. is having festivities today. Most likely a lunch special at the Dam site inn for $6.66.

Going to start to reconstruct dads porch roof today. Its always so much fun when you have to work on something hundreds of years old.

Good Time

We got to see little TIC TOC this weekend. He was sleeping so he could be up during the night. I think the little guy can recognize his grandma's voice already.

35 years ago today Diane had her high school graduation party. Funny how you get old when time flies.

I had a golf outing 15 miles South West of Grand Ledge yesterday I had to leave very early in the morning, therefore no post for yesterday.

I am glad it is Friday, I not sure why. It was a four day week I golfed one of them and the others were spent in the office.

The plants & flower are really responding to the sun & water. Diane has a tomato that is over 2" in diameter. And the flowers are beautiful. You go God! On the downside the mosquitoes are just crazy around our house.
